  • Offering a balance of creative and analytical insight and feedback.

Writing

  • Penning pitches in the present-tense, active voice.

  • Detailing the "why" and "how" for each idea with links to data-driven insights.

  • Elaborating on the "why" and "how" behind each idea.

Recruiting

  • Discovering world-class creative talent for projects with Warner Records, Sony Music, and Universal Music Group.

  • Championing the agency on social media.

  • Connecting stellar candidates with senior leadership.

Before life gave me lemons...

Vogue's 2022 Met Gala data intrigued me: “Social channels saw 12.3 billion impressions from the hashtag #MetGala, up 30% year-on-year."

As a diligent note-taker with an active imagination, I launched Gala Scene on April 30, 2023, one week before the 2023 Met Gala.

Ten years after my initial Instagram success, this journalistic exploration of societal fixations, emerging trends, and multimedia innovation unlocked the key to memorable content.

Gala Scene became a premier source for in-demand culture news and events, distinguished fashion commentary, and multigenre music reviews.

The results

  • Reached over 15 million Instagram accounts within the first quarter of the brand’s launch.

  • Exceeded 500,000 impressions per post, 97% From Explore.

  • Earned over 5,000 organic followers in days post-launch.

The strategy

  • Explore the cultural phenomena convening on The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s stairs each May.

  • Launch the account the week before to generate excitement.

  • Encourage followers to enable post notifications for live Met Gala updates.

The responsibilities

  • Drafting and editing standout headlines and cultural commentary.

  • Designing platform-optimized brand templates in Adobe Photoshop and Canva.

  • Activating intercultural and intergenerational conversations.

The audience

  • Leading magazines.

  • Major record labels.

  • Brands like yours.

  • People like you.
